Live call
Thanks for calling — how can I help?
My water heater's leaking. Can someone come out today?
I can help with that. Is it flooding, or a steady drip?
Just a drip so far.
Okay — today between 2 and 4 is open. Does that work?
2 to 4 works.
You're booked for today, 2–4 PM. A text confirmation is on its way.

Built for ten professions
Pick one. The bookings, the questions and the hard rules below come from that profession's shipped definition, the same one its receptionist runs on.
Restaurant
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your restaurant! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books reservations and takeout orders into your book.
What it asks a guest:
- Name
- Phone number
- Date and time
- Party size
Handed to a human
Party over the large-party thresholdis never booked by the AI: details taken, a message left for you.
Never
Never invents a dish, a price, hours or a policy. If it isn't written down, it says so and takes a message.
Plumbing
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your business! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books service calls into your real schedule.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- Is the water shut off?
- Owner or tenant?
Urgent at any hour
Burst pipewakes a human instead of waiting for opening.
First, always
A smell of gas stops the call: leave the building, touch no switches, ring the gas line from outside. Then, and only then, a visit.
HVAC
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your business! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books service calls into your real schedule.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- Furnace, boiler or heat pump?
- Owner or tenant?
Urgent at any hour
No heatcounts all year; a cold house doesn't check the season.
First, always
A carbon monoxide alarm means everyone out and 911 from outside, said before any booking talk.
Electrical
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your business! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books service calls into your real schedule.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- How much of the property lost power?
- Owner or tenant?
Urgent at any hour
Sparking or arcingmeans keep everyone away from it, and a human is woken.
Never
Nobody gets talked into a breaker panel, a fuse box or wiring. However simple it sounds, this rule has no exceptions.
Roofing
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your business! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books estimates, not repairs: someone comes out to look and price the work.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- House, apartment or commercial?
- Is water coming in now?
- Owner or tenant?
Urgent at any hour
Water coming into the property nowjumps the queue; a bucket under it and valuables out of the way is the only advice given.
Never
Nobody is sent onto the roof or up a ladder, and no crew is promised during a storm. The roofer looks when it's safe.
Locksmith
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your business! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Call-outs go straight to a live dispatch queue: a response window quoted, and you're alerted at once.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- Home, car or business?
- Lockout or lock change?
- Anyone locked inside?
Urgent at any hour
Child locked insideis dispatched first; the ID talk waits until help is moving.
Every caller
Hears it plainly: the locksmith checks photo ID and proof of residence at the door. A voice on the phone never decides who gets in.
Towing
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your business! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Tows go straight to a live dispatch queue: a response window quoted, and you're alerted at once.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- Are you somewhere safe?
- Year, make and model
- Can it be driven?
- Was it an accident?
- Where it's headed
Urgent at any hour
On a highway or blocking trafficis an emergency, never a request to push the car clear.
First, always
Are you somewhere safe, off the road? Asked before a name, before the vehicle. Anyone hurt means 911, right now.
Auto Repair
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your shop! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books appointments around the vehicle on file.
What it asks a customer, on top of a name and number:
- Year, make and model
- Rough mileage
- What it's doing, in their words
- Drop off or wait?
- Tow-in needed?
Urgent at any hour
Brakes not working properlymeans one thing first: do not drive it here.
Never
No diagnosis over the phone: the symptom is recorded in the caller's own words, and nothing is guessed at, named or priced.
Veterinary
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your clinic! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Books appointments around a pet on file.
What it asks a client, on top of a name and number:
- The pet's name
- Species and breed
- Rough age
- What's wrong, in their words
- New or existing patient?
Urgent even when it sounds small
Straining to urinate, especially a male catis on the urgent list precisely because it sounds minor.
Never
No dosages, no home remedies, no “see how it goes overnight”. Closed and urgent means the emergency referral number, read out first.
Property Management
How it answers, out of the box
AlexThanks for calling your office! This is Alex. Just so you know, this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?
Files work orders for the office to schedule.
What it asks a resident, on top of a name and number:
- Which category it falls under
- What's wrong, in their words
- OK to enter if they're out?
- A pet at home?
- Times that suit them
Urgent at any hour
Flooding or a major leakwakes a human; the office isn't waiting for morning.
Never
Never says who lives where. Confirming and denying sound identical, and a message is taken instead.
What it does all day
One day, morning to close. Every moment below is shipped behavior, not a roadmap item.
5:57 AM
5:57 AM
A burst pipe, before opening
The plumbing line hears an emergency and skips the calendar: an urgent alert in the app, and a call to your cell with the details read out, inside the hours you marked reachable. If nobody acknowledges in time, the caller is texted the truth.
Your cell: press 1 to acknowledge
10:15 AM
10:15 AM
A checkup, straight onto the calendar
A client books their dog in, and the appointment lands on the clinic's Google Calendar. Busy events already on it were never offered as slots, and the built-in schedule stays the source of truth.
1:20 PM
1:20 PM
CANCEL does what it says
Confirmations for a booked time carry “Reply CANCEL if your plans change.” When one comes back, the booking is cancelled and the mirrored calendar event goes with it. No app, no hold music.
CANCEL
Your business: Your estimate on Fri, Sep 18, 2:00 PM is cancelled. Call us any time if you still need a roofer.
4:40 PM
4:40 PM
A lockout joins the queue
A lockout isn't a booking. The request enters a live dispatch queue, oldest first, with one-tap status changes, and a red flag on the row if the customer couldn't be texted an update.
11:05 PM
11:05 PM
The whole day, on the record
Every call since 5:57 this morning has a recording, a transcript and an AI summary with the caller's sentiment, each on its own page in the dashboard.
And in between: missed-call alerts, a waitlist for full nights, returning-caller recognition, tenant-privacy guardrails, and an in-browser test call before your line goes live.
How it works
One call, start to finish: a plumbing line, nine at night. The call reads down the page; the margin says what the system did at each beat.

DanaHi, it's Dana Whitfield. My kitchen sink is backed up and the disposal's dead. It's not an emergency, but could someone come this week?

Questions, answered
The ones a careful owner asks first, answered from what the product does and what the Terms say.
Every FrontDesk AI greeting includes “this call may be recorded”, and setup refuses a greeting without that phrase. Recording-consent laws differ by state and province, and some require every party's consent. The Terms of Service put the duty on your business to know the rules where you and your callers are, and to set your greeting or practices accordingly.
It never invents a price, a service, a menu item, a policy or a time it can't see. If something behind it fails mid-call, it apologizes, takes the caller's name and number and promises a call back instead of guessing. And it never hangs up on a caller: the call ends only after the caller says they're done and it has said goodbye.
Each profession has its own emergency list (a burst pipe, a carbon monoxide alarm, a child locked inside), and a call that matches it skips the booking flow: you get an urgent alert in the app and, inside the hours you marked reachable, a call to your cell with the details read out. Press 1 to acknowledge. If nobody acknowledges in time, the caller is texted honestly instead of being left waiting. It is not an emergency service: where a life is at risk it tells the caller to call 911 first.
You get a FrontDesk AI number and forward your line to it: on most carriers, dial *72 then the number to turn forwarding on and *73 to turn it off, or ask your carrier for forward-when-busy so you still answer when you can. You can also print the FrontDesk number directly. US and Canadian numbers.
Cancelling stops all future charges, and the service stays active through the end of the period you already paid for. Subscriptions bill monthly in advance, and once a monthly payment has been charged it is not refundable. The setup fee is non-refundable once onboarding work has begun. The Terms of Service say the same, in the same words.
The built-in book in your dashboard is the record that counts, with or without a calendar. Connect a Google Calendar if you want every booking mirrored to it as an event, and busy events already on it kept off the phone. You can disconnect at any time, and exactly what we access and why is in the Privacy Policy.
Stop losing the calls you can't pick up.
About ten minutes to set up. No new hardware, and you can hear your receptionist in a test call before your line goes live.
